Contract Attorney Position: Business Litigation Attorney with 4+ Years Experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years experience in litigation
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated; manage your own cases
  • Business law experience
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Licensed attorney in Minnesota

PREFERRED:

  • Experience litigating in U.S. District Court
  • Admitted to practice in U.S. District Court, the District of Minnesota

NOT REQUIRED:

  • The ability to generate new business

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The goal for this position is to evaluate the attorney for a full-time associate attorney position. Thus, solo attorneys who want to keep their solo practice should not apply.

Cases include contract disputes, ownership disputes, and general civil litigation.  The majority of work involves drafting pleadings, drafting discovery, researching and drafting motions, occasionally attending court, and communicating with clients and potential clients.
