Attorney Shirley Chase

Shirley Chase has over 25 years of experience in the practice of law.   She was appointed by the governor and served as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, which oversees the Minnesota workers comp system.Ms. Chase is a native of Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law, where she graduated with honors.  Previously, Ms. Chase served as General Counsel and President of EduServ Technologies, as Counsel for ITT Commercial Finance and as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

Ms. Chase’s experience includes successfully representing clients in difficult employment situations and in hearings and mediations before state and federal agencies, including matters involving discrimination, the workers comp, Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Minnesota Human Rights Act, defamation, covenants not to compete, and various other employment claims.

Ms. Chase practices in the areas of employment law, business law, contract law, and commercial and residential real estate.
